The U.S. Senate has confirmed Dan Brouillette to be the 15th U.S. Secretary of Power, taking the place of Rick Perry, who lately resigned from the function.

An official swearing in will happen at a later date. Previous to affirmation, Brouillette served because the Deputy Secretary of Power underneath Perry.

“I’m honored and humbled by the chance to serve the American folks, President Trump and DOE’s devoted civil servants on this new function,” Brouillette says.

“I need to thank President Trump for putting his confidence in me to assist advance America’s nationwide safety, power safety and financial safety by means of groundbreaking science, expertise and innovation.”

Brouillette was confirmed through a vote of 70-15.
